A 10D images are (assuming landscape): 433.493mm X 288.966mm @ 180dpi. or. 260.604mm X 173.905mm @ 300dpi. A3 dimensions are 420mm X 297mm. The way I learned to upsize pics is to do it in 10% increments. Image> Image Size> Under either Pixel Dimensions or Document Size change the pull down menu to Percent. 100% is displayed.
The difference between a 300 dpi printer and a 600 dpi printer is the density of the dots. The 600 dpi printer will use twice as many dots to create the same image as the 300 dpi version – resulting in a sharper print resolution.
